Some of Gregory Zeorlin’s
poems are ten words long and fit on a tiny piece of watercolor paper. That page of words and another with an image fit in a lidded tin he calls a “Ten Word Tin.”  The tin is just smaller than a cell phone but it doesn't make ring tones, offer texting, twitter, or play music.  The tin never needs charging although it might recharge you.  This “Ten Word Tin” could start a face-to-face conversation.

This tin is titled “Prayer Plane.”  When my kids were younger, going to church was a challenge of patience.  Towards the end of a service I would often fold the weekly bulletin into paper airplanes.  A folded plane signaled the service was almost over and we would soon exit to fly the planes just outside the doors.  It is still a valid lesson on letting prayers go.

What do you do with this tin?  Give one to parents who spend most of the time in the "baby room" at your church services. Hide one in a suitcase before someone goes on a trip.  Prayers go anywhere in a “Ten Word Tin.”
