Follow these instructions or you may damage clock or make it inaccurate.

To Set Clock Time

  • NEVER PUSH OR PULL DIRECTLY ON CLOCK HANDS!
Pushing or pulling on clock hands causes them to slip and move incorrectly
  • Always use dial on back of clock motor to move and set clock hands
  • Make sure "Off/On" switch on clock motor is turned "On"
  • Use fresh battery

Treat your clock as valued art

  • Keep clock out of reach of children.  Small parts could cause choking if clock was broken into pieces and placed in mouth.  Battery is harmful if swallowed.
  • Avoid hanging clock in direct sun
  • Never hang clock outdoors
  • Never hang clock in damp or dusty locations
  • Use soft dry cloth to dust off clock
  • Never use any cleaning products on clock
  • Remove battery when storing clock for extended period

Troubleshooting and Repairing A Damaged Clock

Sometimes even when you tell others not to touch the clock hands they still do it.  Afterwards, if the hour hand has become loose and hangs free (often pointing at the "six o'clock" position and never moving) it can usually be easily fixed.  Or if your clock arrives with a loose hour hand the shipping company might have been a little rough on the packing box.  Again, the clock hand can be easily fixed most of the time.

To Fix A Loose Clock Hand (Usually only the hour hand becomes loosened from the clock motor shaft if the clock hands were pushed on or the clock package was handled roughly.  If both clock hands are loose or radically bent the clock has been significantly mishandled and damaged).

1.  Use clock motor dial to move minute hand to the "twelve o'clock" position
2.  Next gently reposition the hour hand with your fingers so it is also at the "twelve o'clock"
position.  Both clock hands will now be aligned at "twelve o'clock" position although the
hour hand will still be loose at this point.
3.  Now use your fingers or tweezers (which ever is easier for you) to gently push hour hand
down the clock motor shaft until hour hand is reseated on the shaft.  Push hour hand
down onto clock motor shaft until clock hand is snug.  Be gentle.
4.  If hour hand is not parallel to clock face gently reposition clock hand by slightly
bending clock hand and be careful not to loosen the hour hand again. Make sure hour and
minute hands will not touch together as they rotate around the clock.  If needed, slightly bend
either clock hand to make sure they do not touch together at any point of rotation.
